. AMENDMENT 19TOTHETROJANRADIOLOGICALEMERGENCYPLANl We have completed a review of Amendment 19 to the Trojan Radiological Emergency Plan submitted under cover letter RMN-435-89, dated October 20.-
-i 1989,inaccordance'withtheprovisionsof10CFR-50.54(q).
The results of our review were discussed during a telephone conversation on January 24, 1990, between Ms G. Good of my staff and Messrs' J. Thale and F.
Jones of your staff.
It is my understanding that_most of _the issues-discussed were minor in nature and that there were no areas in need'of immediate change. However, during our review, we identified one issue that-will require further review.. This' issue involved the time requirements for notifying the States of Oregon and Washington. Your plan provides.for the-Counties to be notified within 15 minutes, while the States.are notified a
within 30 minutes. The Region recognizes that the notification times have not been changed as a result of Amendment 19. The Region intends to pursue this matter further and will track this issue as open item.GG-TR-01..
Our review indicates that your plan, as-changed, continues to meet the standards in 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix E.
