Dear Mr. Schnell:

PDIII-3 Gray NRCBULLETIN88-10ANDSUPPLEMENT1TOBULLETIN88-10}

SUBJECT:

NONCONFORMING MOLDED-CASE CIRCUIT BREAKEkS (TAC 71274 By letters dated Parch'31 and November 7,1989, you responded to Bulletin 88-10. As a result of Supplement 1 to Bulletin 88-10, corrections to your March 31, 1989 letter were not required, with the exception that your November 7, 1989 letter states that the review of breaker traceability was expanded to include original spares purchased under the construction program which were received after August 1, 1983. The November 7,1989 letter also verified that the bulletin provisions as clarified by the supplement have been met.

A detailed technical review of your responses has not been performed; however, the area may be subject to inspection at a later date.

If a subsequent inspection identifies deficiencies in your actions and responses, this issue will be reopened.

Presently, the staff considers your response to Bulletin 88-10 complete for Callaway Plant.

Sincerely,

/s/
