This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted by E. L. Clay on December 8, 1989.

The inspection included a review of activities authorized for your Columbia, South Carolina facility.

At the conclusion of the. inspection, the. findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed inspection report.

L-Areas examined during the inspection consisted of selective examinat, ions of-procedures-and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in progress.

i Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations' were

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(d)'and 10 CFR 73.21,- safeguards activities

.and security measures are exempt from public disclosure.

Therefore, the enclosure to this letter with the exception of the report page, which 3

presents a nonexempt summary, will-not be placed in the NRC Public _ Document
