This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. B. L. Bartlett and

M. E. Skow of this office during the period December 1-31, 1989. This

. inspection pertained to activities authorized by NRC Operating License

LNo. NPF-42 for the Wolf Creek Generating Station, and our findings were

discussed with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the

~ inspection,

Areas examined during the inspection included plant status, operational safety

verification, monthly surveillance observation,-~ monthly maintenance-

observation, cold weather preparations, and observation'of initial licensee

-fitness-for-duty training. Within these areas, the-inspection consisted of

selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviers with

personnel, and observations by the inspectors. The inspection findings ace

documented in the enclosed inspection report.

Within the' scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

,

identified.
