A conference-call was held on 12/21/89 between C.
Cowgill and
.W..-Hodges.of the NRC with J.
Sieber, J.
Crockett, and K. Grada of Duque'sne ' Light' Company.
The purpose of this letter is to confirm
-the=following commitments made during the call.
Duquesne Light Company will submit a
response to NRR by
- January-30, 1990 providing resolution to the Steam Generator Wide Range cInstrumentation deviation.
The resolution will provide for the isolation' of the channel inputs to the recorder or inputting the-wide range-levels into the Inadequate Core Coolin,g Monitor, or
-other options that will bring the' Steam Generator Wide Range Level
- Instrumentation.in compliance with Regulatory Guide 1.97.
In
- addition, compensatory measures to provide weekly channel checks between the Control Room Indication, computer systems, and the ' Remote Shutdown Panel will be implemented by December 30,
