Corrective Action Delay Gentlemen:
i In my letter of May 1,1989, Reply to a Notice of Violation 369,370/89-01-07, I informed you that all corrective actions relating to this violation would be
- completed prior to December 31,.1989.
Specifically, I stated that a Task Force would be formed to thoroughly review the Problem Investigation Program i
(PIR) and associated directives and provide further clarification of the initiation criteria for Problem Investigation Reports (PIRs).
This Task Force was developed and has begun a review of the PIR program.
As a result of their meeting several areas were identified which will require a more extensive review than was originally considered. Meetings have been scheduled to resolve these issues and plans have been made to finalize the revision to the PIR directive, which will provide additional clarification of the initiation criteria for PIRs.
These corrective actions will be complete by June 1, 1990.
