Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-219/89 26
A routine safety inspection was conducted on October 30 - November 3 and
November 13 16, 1989 by S. Sherbini at the Oyster Creek Station. The purpose of
the inspection was to review the status of items identified for followup
during previous NRC inspections.
no violations were identified.

Within the scope of this inspection,losed based on corrective actions taken by
reviewed except for two items were c
your staff. The first item remaining open addresses corrective actions in
connection with potential pathways for unmonitored releases that were found to
exist at Oyster Creek. The second item is an unresolved issue that addresses the
applicability of personnel qualification requirements described in the Technical
Specifications.
In closing the above items, issues were identified that appear to have been
contributing factors in several of the incidents.
They are discussed in detail
in the attached inspection report. Most of these issues were also identified as
requiring improvement by the Radiological Controls Task Force and are included
as action items in your Plan for Excellence at Oyster Creek.
