Inspection No.- 70-687/89-01 This refers to ycur letter dated March 13, 1989, in response-to our letter dated February 27, 1989.
Th'ank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive. actions documented in your letter. These actions will be examined during a future inspection-of-your licensed program.
With regard to Violation B, be advised that we still consider this item to be a violation. However, it is noted that the actions described in your response to correct this violation appear to be appropriate to ensure more positive control
- in this area.
Thank you for the additional information you provided concerning the construction of a fence around the Waste Storage Building. This will also be examined during the subsequent inspection. Be advised that the information
~ subsequently supplied to the NRC regarding your evaluation and supporting data for the waste storage container array in the gamma pit has been forwarded to the NRC Office of Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) for evaluation. Any questions arising from that evaluation will also be reviewed during a subsequent inspection.
