SUBJECT:
LRG II -
SUMMARY
OF MEETINGS AUGUST 26 and 27,1981 Meetings between the LRG II working group and NRC were held on August 26 and 27, 1981 in Bethesda, Maryland.
The purpose of these meetings was to finalize a list of issues amenable to common resolution by the participating parties and to clarify the specific needs of NRC for each issue. The meetings were attended by representatives of Illinois Power Co., Cleveland Electric Illumin-ating Co., Gulf States Utilities Co., General Electric Co., and KMC, Inc.
An attendance list is attached in Enclosure 1.
7
'.he document providing tie bases for discussion at the meetings was the l
list of issues developed by NRC (Memorandum for NRR D1 vision D.irectors from L. Ribb and H. Faulkner of August 3,1981) and previously providedlto LRG II.
These discussions resulted in the addition and deletion of some issues.
A final list containing 51 issues was compiled and agreed upon by all parties.
A copy of this list of issues is attached as Enclosure 2.
This list will r ovide the basis for joint resolution of licensing issues common to the Clinton, Perry, River Bend and GESSAR II projects.
A meeting of the LRG II executive comnittee with Harold Denton and s'enior NRR management has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 8,1981.
At that time, the LRG II committee will discuss their approach to the common re-solution of these issues.
