Dear Mr. Denton:
The Interim Data Report for the EPRI PWR Safety and Relief Valve Test Program was transmitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission via Mr. R. C. Youngdahl's letter'of July 1, 1981. This report summarizes the test data collected to date on safety and relief valves. The McGuire safety and relief valves are being tested in the EPRI program. Duke Pcwer Company will submit test evalu-ations and other plant specific data on a set edule consistent vith Mr. Youngdahl's letter of December 15, 1980 as modified by his letter of July 1, 1981.
Mr. Youngdahl's July 1, 1981 letter also discussed a proposed EPRI program for testing block valves. Duke Power Company is involved in the development of this program which will be discussed with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in mid July, 1981.
