PVNGS UNIT #1

1. Potential Problem The pull-cut fuse blocks manufactured by Bulldog Electrical Products, Incorporated and supplied as a component of the 480V Load Centers from Gould-Brown-Boveri were found to have a substantial reduction in the mating force requirement after several insertions and removals.

This condition was raised as a concern by the project start-up group because there exists a question as to whether the copper female clips provided with the fuse block are capable of per-forming their safety-related function of maintaining contact after many removals and insertions of the fuse blocks during the life of the plant.

II. Approach To and Status Of Proposed Resolution Bechtel has requested assistance from Gould-Brown-Boveri in

. reviewing, evaluating and dispositioning this condition. .

III. Proiected Completion of Corrective Action and So.mittal Date of the Final Rc7 ort The evaluation, resolution snd final report are forecast to be completed by December 15, 1981.
