Docket No. 99900039/81-01 NOTICE OF NONCONFORMANCE Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on March 23-25, it t_,
appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in accordance with NRC requirements as indicated below.
Criterion XIII of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50 states: " Measures shall be estab-lished to control the handlfr.g, storage, shipping, cleaning, and preservation of material and equipment in accordance with work and inspection instructions to prevent damage or deterioration.
When necessary for particular prcducts, special protective environments, such as inert gas atmosphere, specific moisture content levels, and temperature levels, shall be sp9cified and provided."
Contrary to the above, measures have not been established to contrcl storage and preservation of the Black Fox Unit No. 1 reactor vessel in accordance with work and inspection instructions, to prevent damage or deterioration, while the completed vessel is being stored prior to shipment.
