Q APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION i
l Department of the Navy License No. 04-01429-03 U. S. Marine Corps Marine i.ogistics Base Barstow, California 92311 As a result of the inspection conducted on May 27, 1981, and in accordance with the Interim Enforcement Policy, 45 FR 66754 (October 7,1980) the following violation was identified:
A.
License Condition 15 requires that the licensee shall possess and use licensed material in accordance with statements, representations and procedures contained in the application dated August 17, 1977.
Section 208 of CO P 4400.21 which is incorporated into the license application i
by reference requires that the Radiological Safety Officer make a quarterly audit of-licensed activities.
Contrary to the above requirement, at the time of the inspection, a quarterly audit.had.not been conducted by_the RSO since the last inspection in May of 1978.
This is a Severity Level V Violation (Supplement VII).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, the U. S. Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow, California, is hereby required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, including:
(1)thecorrectivestepswhichhavebeentakenand further items of nonconpliance; and (3) ps which will be taken to avoid the results achieved; (2) corrective stethe date when full compliance will be achieved. Consideration may be given to extending your response for good cause shown.
