Bowling Green Station New York, New York 10004

Dear Mr. Dolan:

We have reviewed the responses in your letters of December 17, 1979, May 28, 1980 and January 27, 1981 to our August 8,1979 letter on the adequacy of,

the station electrical distribution system voltages for the Donald C. Cook-Nuclear Plant Units Nos.1 and 2.

In your responses you committed to install, at the next maintenance shutdown undervoltage protection relays on 4 kv buses A and D for Unit 1 and Unit 2 with a voltage setting of 89.9% with a two minute time delay and to modify the existing undervoltage relays at the 4 kv buses for a voltage setting of 79.9% with a two second time delay.

Subject to your completion of these modifications, we find the voltage analysis and test results submitted are aci:eptable for meeting our positions on the adequacy of station electric distribution system voltages.

Our Safety Evaluation Report (SER) and the Technical Evaluation Report (TER) prepared by our consultant EG&G Idaho, Inc. are enclosed for your infor-mation.

The implementation of the modifications for the station electrical distri-bution system voltages will be reviewed by the Office of Inspection and Enforcement.

Sincerely, 7

! ;\\
