Your Otter of April 10, 1981, requested Georgia Power Company to perfcrm a) a generic evaluation of the applicability of postulated breaks in the BWR scram system, an estimate of tne probability of occurrence of the postulated sequences of events, and the bases for our conclusions; b) a generic evaluation of the applicability of the AE00 report relative to BWR plant construction,. design, and operation with the basis for our conclusions; and c) a generic evaluation of the AE00 recommendations.
Georgia Porser Company requested General Electric Company, as NSSS supplier, to perform the evaluations requested by your April 10, 1981, letter.
Their letter to you, dated April 30, 1981, transmitted the results of the GE evaluation-in Topical Report NEDE-24342, "GE Evaluation in Response to NRC Request Regarding BWR Scram System Pipe Breaks".
The referenced GE Topical Report and letter provi% Georgia Power Company's reponse to the items requested within 45 days of receipt of your April 10, 1981, letter.
