Subject: Meeting 50-354/81-06 and 50-355/81-06
This refers to the meeting held at our request at the Hope Creek Genera';ing
Station, Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey on April 30, 1981 to discuss the findings
of the NRC Region I Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) pro-
gram evaluation board relating to your performance in conducting activities
authorized by NRC License Nos. CPPR-120 and CPPR-121.

This meeting was attended by Mr. Boettger and others of his staff and by
Mr. Brunner and other members of my staff. The subjects discussed at this
meeting included the results of an appraisal board composed of the Director,
,
the Deputy Director, NRC Region I Branch Chiefs, and other NRC personnel.

It is our view that this meet.ng was beneficial and improved mutual understand-
ing of your program and our inspection efforts.
In accordance with Section 2.790, of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Fort 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
