Subject:
Oyster Creek Nuclear Gerarating Station Docket tb. 50-219 IE Bulletin !b. 81-02 The subject bulletin entitled " Failure of Gate Type Valves to Close Against Differential Pressure" involves the failure of Westingbcuse E3mW.anical 3-inch valves (W-EED) and Borg-Warner Nuclear 3-inch, 15CO-pound httor Operated Gate Valves (EN-NCD) to close under certain differential pressure conditions.
In respense to this bulletin, an investigation was ur & d en to deternu.ra whether or not these valves are presently in use or presently stecked as spares at the Cyster Creek Station. Tnis investigation has determined that the aforementioned valves are raither in use nor stocked as spares at the Cyster Creek Statien.
