APPENDIX B NOTICE OF DEVIATION Georgia Power Company License Nos. OPR-57 & NPF-5 Based on the results of the NRC inspection conducted on February 21, -March 20, 1981 certain of your activities appear to deviate from (your commitements to the Commission), as indicated below.
On June 12, 1980, the NRC issued IE Bulletin 80-14, Degradation of BWR Scram Discharge Volume Capability, which required in paragraph A3 that procedures be implemented to assure that, through periodic testing, the Scram Discharge Volume (SDV) vent and drain valves are periodically tested. The licensee response dated July 25, 1980 stated that these valves would be tested monthly.
ontrary to the above, no procedural requirement nor documentation exists which shows that these valves are periodically tested as stated.
This is a Deviation and is applicable to Units 1 and 2.
