"Q" Concrete Placements Cear Mr. Seyfrit:
In the final report attached to my letter to you dated September 25, 1979, several commitments were made as to the manner in which we would handle all future "Q" concrete placements. These commit-ments are still in effect at the Wolf Creek Project today.
Commitment No. 3 which we implemented called for a Technical l
Superintendent-Concrete to direct construction personnel in pre-planning concrete placements. This position is still active at the Site.
f over the next 18 months we have about 1474 cubic yards of "Q" concrete l
placements to be completed.
None of these are large difficult pours.
We are requesting that we discontinue the position of D ehnical l
Superintendent-Concrete and use qualified Civil Field Engineers to provide written instructions, if required, for any cencrete place-ments that require special preplanning.
It is our judgment that this can be accomplished without affecting the quality of the remaining concrete placements.
We would appreciate receiving your concurrence on the above request.
