ATTAQLMENT The radiation monitors which provide signals to the Primary Containment Isolation System were originally purchased and installed as safety grade instrumentation. The safety design basis for these monitors can be found in Volume II of the VY FSAR, Section 7.3.3.
Additional information on these monitors is found in FSAR Section 7.12.5 and Tables 7.12-1 and 7.12-2.
Information regarding the seismic qualification of these monitors is presented in Volume IV of the FSAR, Appendix C, Table C.2-7 on page C.2-59.
In this table, these monitors are referred to as sensor converters.
These monitors are presently being reviewed under Vermont Yankee program for environmental qualification of electrical equipment in response to IE Bulletin 79-OlB.
