Proposed Change Reference is made to the Technical Specifications contained in Appendix A to Operating License No. OPR-36 issued to Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company for the Maine Yankee plant. We propose to modify current Technical Specifications as follows:

A.

Reasons for Chance This Technical Specification change will reduce the time required to isolate loop two, in the unlikely event such action becomes necessa y. from an estimated 30 minutes following plant shutdown to an estimated three..Inutes following plant shutdown.

Safety Considerations This change is not consicered to constitute an unreviewed safety question. This change has been reviewed by the Plant Operating Review Committee and Nuclear Safety Audit Review Committee.
