Meetings On Emergency Preparecness Critaria For Meteorological Considerations And Emergency Resconse Facilities The s:sif has develooed a numoer of documents outlining guignce on emergency preparecness matters tnat are ::eing implementaa at coeratinci 01 ants and plants unter construction. The staff will conduct meetings to ciscuss and clarify issues of generic nature witn licensees and apolicants.

These meetings were announced on March 17, 1981, in the Federal Register (46-17173) and will cover the areas of meteorology and Emergency Response Facilities.

Attencance at tnese meetings is encouraged and registration will :e at the meeti ng. You and your representatives may attend any of :ne three meetings.

Particulars of the meeting and tne agenda are given in :ne enclosure.

The primary purpose of these meetings are:

(1) to consolicate guidance on meteorological programs relating to emergency preparecness; (2) cutline an acceptacle schedule and the regulatory acercacn for implementing tne program; l

(3) provide a orief description of ongoing NRC activities pertinent to the meteorological considerations in emergency preparecness.
