We have reviewed your letter of March 10, 1980, informing us of steps you have
taken to correct the violations concerning activities under NRC Operating License
Nos. NPF-4 and NPF-7 brought to your attention in our letter of February 13,
1980. We will examine your corrective actions and plans pertaining tc items A,
B, and D during subsequent inspections.
With respect to item 8, we have reevaluated our position and determined that no
additional information was provided which would change our finding. Our new
enforcement policy specifies that NRC will not normally issue violations if the
condition was identified by the licensee, is of Severity Level V or VI, ~was
reported if required and was corrected within a reasonable time. For this item,
corrective action for the calibration of the wide rar.ge reactor coolant temper-
ature sensors was not initiated until identified by our inspector.
Therefore,
your request that this item be withdrawn is denied. No additional respor.se to
this item is required.
With respect to item C, we have reviewed the additional information you provided
and concur that the violation did not occur. Our records have been corrected
accordingly.
