Dear Mr. Seyfrit:
In a letter dated September 29, 1978, Public Service Company of Colorado informed the NRC that, based upon sample aucit findings, further analysis and a complete walk-down of the 2" and Under Class I piping supports at the Fort St. Vrain facility would be made to ensure that all suppor cs were correctly documented.
The estimated completion date for this work was September,1979.
The walk-down was completed by that l
date as was the majority of the analysis.
In July, 1979, the NRC l
issued I&E Bulletin 79-14 requiring an audit of all Class I 21/2" l
and Larger Class 1 piping and all computer analyzed 2" and Under Piping.
Because 4 the time requirements of the bulletin, the bulletins emphasis on 21/2" and Larger piping and the effort recuired to satisfy the requirements of the bulletin; the remainder of the analysis, redrafting and craft action work associated with the 2" and Under program has proceeded on a low priority basis.
As reported in PSC reference correspondence P-80442, the effort l
associated with the audit and field correction phase of I&E Bulletin 79-14 has been completed and we have now entered into the Seismic Piping System Redocumentation Program.
This program involves both piping systems 21/2" and larger and 2" and smaller is scheduled for completion in mid-1983.
Most of the remaining 2" and Under analysis has to be performed in parallel with the analysis of the 21/2" and Larger redocumentation program and is now considered by PSC to be part of that program.
The remaining craft action work associated with the 2" and Under program has been scheduled to be perrormed in parallel with the 21/2" and larger redocumentation program.
The anticipated completion date for the small bore program is December, 1982.
