Docket No. 50-285

Dear Mr. Clark:

Omaha Public Power District's letter to the Comission 6tted February 24, 1981, provided an updated description of tha operational Quality Assurance (QA) Program for the Fort Calhoun Station Unit No.1.

As discussed with Mr. Charles M. Tramell of your staff, the February 24, 1981, letter was submitted solely as an update to the Comission's existing program description. Comission approval of the updated operational QA Program is not required, since all changes were admini-strative or the need had previously been identified by the Commission.

Therefore, this letter is submitted to confirm that Commission approval is not requested.

Sincerely,

,.(
