Cannon, Project Manager The ASLB hearings for Allens Creek Have reconvened. Seven staff members have been in attendance and have offered testimony as required over a period of several weeks.

San Onofre Units 2 and 3 - R. M. Rush, Project Manager The staff has assessed the impact of the heat treatment (reverse flow) proposed for the cooling water system. The assessment is being transmitted to the EPM (D. Sca11etti).

Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station - N. E. Hinkle, Project Manager No appreciable activity. The staff is awaiting issuance of the FES.

B. Support Group Activities Environmental Fluid Dynamics Group No activity.

C. Budget Project costs are reported in the attached tables.

D. Remarks Because of the high level of activity required at the Allens Creek hearings, the staff cost has over run the authorized funds. Wm. Regan has been notified and has agreed to authorize the necessary further funding.
