20555 BRUNSWICK STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-325 AND 50-324 LICENSE NOS. DPR-71 AND DPR-62 REQUEST FOR LICENSE AMENDMENT SPENT FUEL POOL STORAGE EXPANSION
Dear Mr. Ippolito:
In accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Sections 50.59, 50.90 and 2.101, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) submits the attached change to the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Unit Nos. I and 2 Technical Specifications. The purpose of this amendment is to allow modification of the spent fuel pool for increased storage of spent fuel.
The revision of Section 5.6 " Fuel Storage" is indicated by a vertical line in the right hand margin of the attached affected page.
In accordance with i
10CFR170.12(c), we have determined that this revision constitutes a Class IV amendment.
Accordingly, our check for $12,300 is enclosed.
Also attached is the report entitled " Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Unit Nos. I and 2 Spent Fuel Storage Expansion Report." This report includes a description of the proposed modifications and the safety analyses which demonstrate that this modification would not affect the public health and safety.
