GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 RESOLUTION OF OPEN ITEMS IN ACCIDENT EVALUATION BRANCH DRAFT SAFETY EVALUATION Our review of your application for the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station has progressed to the point that we now have a draft Safety Evaluation Report (SER) in the Accident Evaluation area. We propose to complete the review in this area using the draft SER procedure, similar to that used in the mechanical engineering review.
We request that your staff review the enclosed draft SER input, and provide the additional information necessary for the completion of tne attached sections. The attached has been drafted assuming that responses to our previous questions 312.20 and 312.21 are submitted for our review and found acceptable. Until such time, the acceptability of the intrasecondary ventilation system and the boundary of the control room habitability volume are to be considered open items.
In addition, Technical Specifications of reactor coolant radioisotope concentrations are noted in section 15.3 as an open item.
