Dear Mr. Denten:
Mr. Darrell G. Eisenhut's letter of February 18, 1981 (Generic Letter 81-10) provided details of che'NRC's position with respect to requirements for the Emergency Operations Facility and staffing levels for emergency situations.
I Duke Power Company will submit conceptual design information for the EOF, TSC, and OSC at Catawba Nuclear Station in conjunction with the OL review.
We intend to exercise " Option 2" as described in Table III.A.1.2-2 for the EOF location. The new EOF, TSC, and OSC will be functional prior to receiving an operating license.
Emergency staffing levels will also be addressed in conjunction with the OL review.
