Date Vendor Inrpection Brancti Summary Investiation on Deceater 15-17, 1980; Report No. 99900400/S0-06 Area Investicated:
Allegation that Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) did not intena to correct deficiencies that NRC had previously identified concerning accuracy and comoleteness of historical documents, but merely planned to identify the safety related documents for current status.
This investiga-tion involved ten (10) investigator manhours.
Results:
Investigation disclosed that B&R is in the initial phases of cor-rective action in response to NRC and has yet to fully implement the total scope of the planned corrective action.

2 INTRODUCTION Sacccck & Wilcox Company (S&W), located in Lynchburg, Virginia, is an architect /
engineering firm engaged in design and related activities of luclear power plants.
REASON FOR INVESTIGATICN "n December 5, 1980, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Ccmmission, Region IV, received a letter from a S&W employee alleging that S&W is not adequately complying to recent deviations cited by NRC.
SUMMARY
OF FACTS On November 12, 1980, the alleger (Individual A) executed a letter whicn con-tained the following allegation:
That S&W has decided not to ensure that the historical document list (HOL) is accurate and complete as previously recuested by NRC.
