WPPSS NUCLEAR PROJECTS 3 AND 5 RESPONSE TO IE BULLETIN 80-23 IE Bulletin 80-23, issued on November 14, 1980, identified possible safety problems with specific models of Valcor solenoid valves.
In response to the subject bulletin, our A/E has contacted all concerned contractors and subcontracts of the subject matter, and requested them to identify if any of their Valcor solenoid valves fall into the category of the valves stated in the bulletin.
If any solenoid valves are found such that their P/N's are V70900-21 -1 and V70900-21-3 the existing coil shall be replaced according to the manufacturers recommendations. We will be informed of the contractors findings and wDi issue a supplemental response by March 20, 1981.
