.-<.8 NOTICE OF DEVIATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on October 28-29, 1980, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in accordance with NRC requirements.
Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50 states:
" Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instruc-tions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accomplished in accordance with these instructions, pro-cedures, or drawings.
Instructions, procedures, or drawings shall include acoropriate quantitative or qualitative acceptance criteria for determining that important activities have been satisfactorily accom-plished."
Deviations from these requirements are as follows:
Section 0-QA-7 of the QA Manual, paragraph 10.1(c), states in part, " Temporary welds shall be documented on the IPC sheet.
A temporary weld number... shall be assigned to each weld, and the approximate location of the welds shall be shown on the SFS."
Contrary to the above, a temporary weld on Fab Mark No. 150 107924, sheet no. 1079 012 294, was not assigned a temporary weld number or documented on the IPC sheet and the approximate location was not shown on the SFS.
