Subject:
BOMB Ti.'REAT At 1:05 AM, February 14, 1981, the Main Gate received a call from a female subject.
During the call, mus-ic and laughter could be heard in the background.
The caller stated that "there was-a bomb under your bed."
Some additional laughter was heard and then the caller hung up.
Search procedures were conducted and completed with negative results at approximately 2:00 AM.
The media has no knowledge of the incident as indicated above.
No press release is planned by the licensee or by the NRC at this time.
The licensee notified Federal Law-Enforcement authorities.
Local and State Law Enforcement authorities are only notified if something is found.
This preliminary notification is issued for information and no further action by IE is anticipated.
NRC Region I (Philadelphia) received notification of this occurrence from the H00 at approximately 1:25 Ali, February 14, 1981. The information was updated and is current as of February 17, 1981 at 9:50 AM.
