Dear Ms. Diggs:
This is in response to your December 30, 1980 letter which requested that an additional fee of $2000 be remitted to NRC regarding our November 5, 1980 technical specification change request.
This November 5, 1980 submittal requested extensions of the end dates for performing certain periodic tests (pts) on our Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2.
We remitted fees of $2400 for two Class II amendments because we determined that the requested changes were administrative in nature. However, your letter advised us that NRC's preliminary review had determined that our application involved consideration of a safety issue. This would require one Class III fee of $4000 and one Class I fee of $400. Therefore, as you requested, we are herewith remitting a check for the balance of I
$2000.
If your final teview reflects that these fees are incorrect, please advise us of the appropriate adjustment.
