RELATING TO THE ANTICIPATED REACTOR TRIP ISSUE FOR ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNIT NO.1 DOCKET NO. 50-313 (1) For evaluation of the action statement of Paragraph 3.5.1.7/3 (Page 42A of the proposed changes to the Tech Spec), the following information should be provided (See Standard Tech Spec Table 3.3-1) for each of the two ARTS.
(a) Total No. of channels (b) Channels to trip (c) Minimum channel OPERABLE (d) Applicable modes (2) Paragraph 3.5.1.7 (Page 42A) has trip bypass up to 10% reactor power.
whereas August 8, 1980 submittal calls for up to 20% reactor power bypass. Correction should be made.
(3) Surveillance requirement Table 4.1-1, Item 36 and 42 (ARTS) should have functional test every month and calibration test on refueling r
outage (See ANO-1 letter, dated August 8, 1980).
