Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

l In response to your letter of November 6, 1980 which transmitted IE Bulletin 80-21, we wish to advise that a review of Catawba Nuclear Station's active valves planned for use in safety-related systems has been conducted.

There are no active valves with parts cast by Malcolm Foundry Company, Inc., planned for use at Catawba.

Very truly yours,
