Our response to the subject Inspection Report indicated that the revisions to the CG&E Quality Assurance procedures would be completed by December 1,1980. Of the 24 procedures scheduled for revision,12 have been completed and are ready for immediate issue. Another nine (9) are in draft form and are undergoing review and editing prior to typing. The remaining three (3) are in preparation.
We are planning to cancel four (4) additional existing Quality Assurance procedures based on other departments assuming the responsibility for the functions described in those procedures.
The Quality Assurance procedures cannot be cancelled until the other departments' procedures are in effect.
Some of the Quality Assurance procedures which are being revised involve interfaces with other organizations, and their concurrence will be requested prior to final issue. Most of the other revisions involve only changes in titles and organizational designations, and do not involve basic Quality Assurance policy or program changes.
Quality Control procedures which affect day-to-day activities and installation quality requirements have either been revised or do not require revision.
We now expect that all the Quality Assurance procedures requiring revision can be completed by January 15, 1981.

U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region III QA-1367 - December 4,1980 Page 2 completed and has been approved by their Site Quality Assurance Manager and Corporate Quality Assurance Manager, and is awaiting approval of their Vice President.
Completion is now scheduled for December 15, 1980.
We trust' that these changes in our conmitment dates will be found acceptable.
