SITE VISITS - FIRE PROTECTION PROGRAM EVALUATIONS 1

Site visits will be made in-the course of our evaluation of fire These visits will be made after the assigned protection programs.

review team has reviewed all docket material related to the fire i

protection program.

The purpose of this site visit is to give the review team direct knowledge of the arrangement of safety related equipment, fire hazards, and fire protection equipment. This visit will last one to two weeks depending on the size of the facility. It will follow the attached agenda.

The participants for NRR will include:

1.

The three man review team (electrical, mechanical and fire protection' engineers).

2.

The Project Manager (at his option).

3.

The Region Inspector (at his option).

The licensee should have personnel participating in these visits who are familiar with the plant and with their responses related to the fire protection program.

~ NOTE: This visit is to gather information for the review team.

It does not substitute for an inspection by I&E; the staff will

, not discuss recommendations or deficiencies with the licensee.

The licensee should be prepared to briefly describe the plant layout with special emphasis of the locations identified in items 4 a and b of the agenda.
