NUREG-0588 NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT "O. 2 On December 2-4, 1980, Mr. Joel Page and Mr. Bill Booth of NRC conducted an audit of our November 1,1980, NUREG-0588 review for North Anna Unit 2.
Mr. Page prepared 10 statements concerning his findings in this audit. This letter is in response to statement number 10.
Item number 10 states that Vepco should re-evaluate all test documentation concerning NUREG-0588, items 2.2(1), 2.2(2), 2.2(7), 2.2(9) and 5(1). We have developed a program to re-evaluate all equipment qualification documentation folders for North Anna Unit 2, except for those folders which contain documentation for equipment which has previously been committed to be replaced.
This program will be completed independently by another architectural engineering firm to insure reliability of the review. This program will be completed in two phases.
Phase one will include an independent review of all documentation folders t
l for completeness. A list outlining missing data will be prepared by January 7, 1981.
Phase two will include a review of the same documentation folders with regard to the sections of NUREG-0588 mentioned above. A check sneet will i
be filled out to serve as a record of the review. A detailed report will l
be provided to reconcile any deviations from the NUREG which are indicated i
by the check sheet. This phase of the review is scheduled to be complete by February 24, 1981.

We will inform you of any equipment that is determined to be unqualified as a result of our re-evaluation. When complete, we feel this program will resolve the deficiencies found in our initial review.
