20555 BRUNSWICK STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-325 AND 50-324 LICENSE NOS. DPR-71 AND DPR-62 ADDITIONAL TMI-2 RELATED REQUIREMENTS - ITEM II.K.3.30
Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
In response to the NUREG-0737 Requirement II.K.3.30, Revised Small Break LOCA Methods to Show Compliance with 10CFR50, Appendix K, Carolina Power & Light Company considers that the reactor vendor, General Electric Company, is the most appropriate party to work with the Staff in resolving Staff concerns with small break LOCA models for BWRs.
Accordingly, the Staff should direct their questions regarding the scope and schedule for this requirement to General Electric (Attention:
R. H.
Buchholz, Manager, BWR Systems Licensing). Copies of correspondence on this item should be sent to Carolina Power & Light Company so that we may re=ain cognizant of the progress of the program to resolve the Staff's concerns on this requirement. General Electric has informed us that they will be prepared to discuss the approach to this item by December 15, 1980.
If you have any further questions on this subject, please contact our staff.
Yours very truly.
