R.P.S. Protective Circuit Seismic Retrofit Package
Dear Mr. Ippolito:
Your letter dated September 24, 1980 stated deficiencies in our present regulator system for RPS and requested modifications. You also stated that installation of a conceptual design proposed by General Electric was an acceptable solution to the concern. We were requested to submit to you within 60 days of receipt of your letter,(1) our commitment to install a Class lE System, (2) schedule for completion of the modifi-cation, and (3) schedule for submission of design information and pro-posed Technical Specification.
This letter is written to infonn you of our commitment to install a Class 1E system. We are accepting General Electric's proposal for the
'j modification. They are stating a typical delivery of 16 weeks af ter acceptance of order but state the schedule is subject to prior orders and will be confirmed prior to their order acceptance.
We currently believe our next refueling outage will occur within six months. Thus, we would plan to complete the modifications by the end of the subsequent refueling outage (Spring 1982). We will submit design information to you prior to June 1,1981. We also expect to submit proposed Technical Specifications by that date.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
