Gentlemen:
We have recetved a copy of your Technical Specification Change Request No. 92 dated April ll,1980, which was filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (0NRR) for review. The application proposed a change relating to temperature detectors for Three Mile Island 1. and was accompanied by a Class II ($1,200) amendment fee because your Company determined that the proposed change is administrative in nature.
Based on information that has been provided by the ONRR staff as a result of a preliminary fee review of your application, it has been detemined that the above application involves consideration of a safety issue because it includes a change in the number of temperature detectors used in coccuting the average containment temperature. On this basis, a Class III fee of
$4,000 is applicable, and it is requested that an additional sum of $2.200 bo remitted to this office.
If the final review of your application by the ONRR staff reflects that this fee is incorrect, an adjustment will be mada.
