Dear Mr. Ippolito:
In a May 23, 1980 letter, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) submitted the technical information necessary for the refueling and Cycle 3 startup of Brunswick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP) Unit No. 1.
This information included forty (40) copies of General Electric's (GE) NEDO-24239, " Supplemental Reload Licensing Submittal for BSEP Unit 1 Reload 2."
Recently, CP&L discovered a typographical error on page 2 of NEDO-24239 where the R-factors for 8x8 fuel and P8x8R fuel had been interchanged. All calculations for the reload utilized the correct R-factor for each fuel type; therefore, there are no errors in the calculations or re s ult s.
Forty (40) copies of the ccrrected page 2 are attached to this letter for your use in updating the NEDO report.
