Subject:
In our letter (Reference 3) in response to IE Eulletin 77-06, we i
inferred that questions 1.1 through 3.2 applied only if we utilized the GE Series 100 penetration assemblies.
Subsequent discussions with the NRC staff have indicated that question 3.2 shculd be addressed for the l'
type cf penetraticn assemblies installed at our facility.
.:q Although General Design Criteria No. 4 of Appendix A to 10CFR Part 50, and QA Criteria of Appendix B to 10CFR Part 50 did not exist at the time Yankee Rowe was designed and constructed; it is our opinion that all appropriate and necessary quality asrarance measures were taken during the desien, testing and installation of the electrical penetration asser21ies to ensure compliance with the intunt of the afore=entioned criteria.
