i This refers to your request dated April 24, 1964, for AEC authori-zation of Proposed Change No. 53 in the Technical Specifications of Facility License No. DPR-3 pursuant to the provisions of Section 3
50.59, 10 CFR 50.
The proposed change would permit operation of the primary system pressurizer with the solenoid relief valve line scaled

off.
Operation would be pemitted in this manner if the solenoid j
relief valve cannot be repaired during the outage for installation of Core IV.
i lie have reviewed t.ie Proposed Change and have found that it does not present significant ha:ards considerations not described or implicit in the hazards summary report, and that there is reasonable assurance that the health and safety of the public will not be en-dange red.
A copy of our related hazards analysis is enclosed.
In view of the foregoing, Change No. 53 is hereby authorized as proposed pursuant to Section 5 0. 59, 10 CFR 5 0.
