7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-219 JERSEY CENTRAL POWER & LIGHT CG4PANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amencment No. 51 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-16, issuec to Jersey Central Power & Light Company (the licensee), which revised the license for operation of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station located in Ocean County, New Jersey. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance and is to be fully implemented within 30 days of Commission approval in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFP. 73.40(b).
The amencment adds a license concition to. include tne Commission approved Safegards Contingency Plan as part of the license.
The licensee's filing complies with the standaros and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations.
The Commission has made appropriate findings as,
recuired by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter 1, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of this amenoment was not requirec sinca the amencment coes not invoive a significant hazarcs consiceration.
The Commission has cetermined nat the issuance of this amencment will not result in any significant environmental impact anc tnat pursuant to 10 CFA 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative ceclaration anc environmental impact appraisal neec not ce preparea in connection witn issuance of this amencment.
