FINAL STATUS SURVEY REPORT FOR PHASE Ill, SUBAREA N
Dear Mr. Lux:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed Cimarron's "Final Status Survey Report on Phase Ill Subarea N" dated January 31, 2002. Please note that the cover letter transmitting this final status survey report (FSSR) erroneously had January 31, 2001 as the transmitted date. We have no further questions regarding the Subarea N FSSR. As noted in our April 2, 2002, telephone conference, NRC staff plans on conducting its confirmatory survey of Subarea N during the week of June 24, 2002.
In addition to our confirmatory survey of Subarea N, during this site visit, we will also be taking split samples from some of the groundwater monitoring wells at the site. We will identify these wells to you before the site visit. As other priorities may preclude our staff hydrologist, Jon Peckenpaugh, from participating in the entire confirmatory survey, we request that you not sample these wells until he is present.
