Seabrook Station Maintenance Backlog Gentlemen:
I In the January 18, 1990 Commission Briefing, New Hampshire Yankee (NHY) committed to provide information regarding certain maintenance items in response to a request from chairman Carr.
The requested information is provided below.
The oldest outstanding work request at Seabrook Station was initiated' December 30, 1985. This priority 3 work request concerns an alarm in the non-safety-related water treatment system that would not clear when the temperature was in the normal band. An engineering change document specified replacing a solenoid in the system.
The'specified replacement was discontinued by the manufacturer.
Engineering review of: this item has been completed and the engineering change document which specifies an appropriate replacement is in process of being issued.-
l The oldest outstanding safety-related work request was initiated on February 4, 1987.
This priority 3 work request concerns a required mechanical joint inspection for a letdown heat exchanger relief valve (CS-V319). Field work was completed for this work request on September'2,

1989, however, the required visual inspection at pressure cannot be
. completed until the unit is in MODE 3.
