Dear Mr. Seyfrit:
The referenced Interim Significant Deficiency Report and letters con-cerning flood damaged equipment at Wolf Creek were previously submitted to your office pursuant to 10CFR50.55 (e). This letter will provide you with an update on the status of,this equipment.
Presently most of the mechanical components and pipe spools have either been reworked to the original condition or are being cleaned on-site or at vendor facilities.
In addition, the electrical equipment involved has been returned to the manufacturers for inspection and cleaning. It is now expected that this portion of the work will be completed by July 1,1981.
As stated in the March 31 letter, cleaning of the preassembled piping formations is being integrated with welding rework as described in a SNUPPS report dated November 29, 1979. Completion of this phase of the work is not expected until late 1981.
Please advise if you need any additional information at this time.
We will report further on the flood damaged equipment by July 15, 1981.
