APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIAL-180, LICENSE TERMINATION AND AMENDMENT 2 (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION L-2019-PMP-0193)
Dear Dr. Charlton:
By letter dated November 15, 2019, you submitted an amendment request (Agencywide Documents Access Management System (ADAMS) Accession No ML19337A016) for the termination of Special Nuclear Material (SNM) License SNM-2018, Docket Number 70-0157.
Included in this submittal was: (1) a completed and signed NRC Form 314, (2) Certificate of Disposition of Materials, and (3) Y-12 National Security Complex Enrichment Uranium Declaration Request for each of the material forms packaged and shipped.
Enclosed is a safety evaluation report (SER), to document the review of your submittal. The license amendment request is approved and documented in Amendment 2 of the SNM-180 License. Having met the final actions required prior to termination, as discussed further in the SER, License SNM-180 is hereby terminated. This termination is being issued in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), Section 70.38.
Upon issuance of a Federal Register Notice regarding the license termination, Enterprise Project Identification Code L-2019-PMP-0193 will be closed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room, or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
